Hoysala
Located in Baba Budan Hills (Western Ghats) of Karnataka, they also produce high-quality, 100% chemical-free spices and fruit. Baba Budan Hills is a region famous for growing coffee. It is in this area that we find the terroir of Chikmagalur, a traditional coffee growing. In the 17th century, a Sufi saint Baba Budan would have introduced the coffee tree to India in this mountain area by bringing seven raw beans from the port of Mecca to Yemen while returning from a pilgrimage. The coffee trees are still growing and the region bears his name.
The taste characteristics reflect notes of cocoa bean and honey, with dark chocolate acidity.
